Duncs,

If you click on the icon in the lower left it will give a result of your answer correct or incorrect.

Click on the incorrect and it will give you the correct answer.

I only managed 78% but when I looked at the correct answer I knew where I stuffed up.

Like yourself I can see why I was never a Auto Electrician.

A bit of fun but I disagree with the answer to question 26. I reckon it doesn't matter whether the inner switch is open or closed, the three lights will still light up if the outer switch is closed. Whadya reckon??

reckon the current will follow the path of least resistance so the inner switch is shorting out the path of the load (light bulb)

78%, i'm a real failure! (Frank Spencer)

If the inner switch is closed the current flow will take the path of least resistance (the switch) and therefore that light won't light up ;-)

This assumes that in theory that the switch has no resistance and the light has some resistance.

I agree - I think the light will pass some current and glow, but not brightly.

Can't be bothered going out to the shed to test it, though.

I got this one wrong as well but now I think about it you are really connecting + wire to both sides of globe so obvious it will not light up

Morning all,

Thanks for the test Pyro.

Made the grey matter work a bit - must have looked stupid with my finger going round in circles on the screen.

88% but think they have the answer to question 9 wrong - no axle in the pinion so the rack does not move in my book.

Cheers

PS measured 38ml's of rain lovely rain here in Tamworth this morning
