had a lovely 23 mm of rain at
hermannsburg o/n with more to come. should green the place up a bit, and bring the flys on.

Ah Hermannsberg - hot and dry most the time (
well it is for us mexicans), lovely the next - agreeably close to
Palm Valley and the Finke gorge too - I don't recall hearing anything negative about this settlement in the current Federal Government take over of indiginous communities up there..... is that because this community has had its act together pretty much ? BTW - I know a bloke down here who grew up there at the mission many years back - great stories about Palm paddock,
Boggy hole, horses, Rex Batterby and Albert, camels and painting ....(not in that order :-o). Sorry about the flies - saw one here in
Adelaide the other day...............

Nice place Herrpersonsberg when I was there last there were very few flies which our academics tell me is due to the persistance of dung beatles.

We had a thunder storm that took out the electronics on our fridge on Monday night.... Hopefully insurance will cover it.
