Need a little help configuring my Bluetooth GPS to OziCE. Have been able to get Tom Tom going but Ozi does not want to use the same com port (which is com 4 and baudrate of 4800) and Ozi does not have com 4 on port settings.
PDA is a O2 Xda Exec running Windows 6. Any info most appreciated.
Cheers Bruce

G'day Bruce
I know little about all of this but all I can pass on is my own experience.
Recently purchased an HP PDA and it runs Tom Tom OK and also runs OE CE OK and have OE on the PC (don't we just love acronyms????) but the PC OE and PDA OE CE will not talk and I have had discussions with OE to confirm this.
All you need to do is set up the waypoints or route in OE on the PC or the track or whatever in OE on the PDA, save either one to an appropriate folder, sync the units and then move whatever was synced to the correct folder on either unit.
Does that make the slightest sense?? Cause reading it doesn't but it works and is not complicated like it sounds.
So I set up waypoints/route etc on the PC, save to "My Pictures" folder, which I have set up as a sync folder for the mobile unit, sync them, then go to File Explorer on the mobile unit and move files to the Data file of OE. To save a Track file from the PDA is just a reverse of the above.
Happy OE'ing.
Rusty

This may not be possible, but its worth a try.
Can you cange the com port that the GPS is on? Using control panel in windows or the equivalent. Then change it in Tom Tom & hopefully in Ozi as
well to an available port.
Cheers
Richard

I've just been through the same issues when setting up
mine.
The bluetooth comport was Com 4 and the bluetooth GPS receiver prefered 9600 baud rate.
Also found it was better to be moving around (walking) with the GPS to get a fix on the satelites.
Only problem I'm having at the moment that it takes Tom Tom up to 5 minutes to lock on the sats but Ozi only takes a few seconds.
Good Luck with it.

Turn the bluetooth GPS on before you start Tom Tom and it should be faster.
Mine is and if I dont Tom Tom takes forever to find it
