G'day folks, just edited the Pyrenees Gathering page and I now know not to do that again.

I hope we can have some EO stickers up with arrows at Sandy Lane off the Pyrenees Highway, East of Elmhurst, and in Elmhurst itself to the Glenpatick Reserve, 9kms out of Elmhurst in the Glenpatrick Valley. You have to go past the Nowhere Creek turnoff to get there

This last week I mowed around the buildings to tidy it up a little and a potential fire site too. Keep the Joe Blakes at bay. There were some interested local watchers.

As you approach the camp site, try on UHF channel 14.

Bonz had laminated some great sized maps for planning and viewing and we will have these up in the shelter. Michelle and David of Exploroz have donated some prizes for various situations and Bonz has these too at the ready.

I believe Bonz is to do another recce Tuesday this next week.

Any rain down your way??

It has poured with rain for the last 2 days here. I'm nearly tempted to season the tent again as it hasn't been used for nearly 12 months and this rain should do it well LOL

What would be the easiest way to come across from the Hume highway??

Cheers Kev

P.S I had the same problem when trying to update the Penrith show gathering as well. Happens again when you submit a trip report.

Kev, just talked with Chris G near the camp and he had 15mm in the last few days, then 2mm more overnight.

We had 3.2mm overnight, with 16.5mm yesterday morning. We are not typical for Victoria, having just surpassed our average rainfall for a whole year. It hasn't stopped since I checked the gauge this morning, with probably another 12-15mm.

It depends what part of the Hume Highway you are coming from Kev. Shepparton, Bendigo to Avoca, from the Northern end.Melbourne Ring road to Western Highway to Beaufort the Southern end. I thnk you need to pose a more specicific question. I suggest you go to EO Places to get you best directions.

Kev, I had only a cursory look at it previously. The Home page is great with that function. So much quicker than the old Travelmate site

Maybe it's a good thing Lucky isn't going to make it, I don't think there would be enough vehicles to pull the Overweight Droopy from a small puddle once it drowned ;))

Bonz,

I'll cya down there LOL

We have had about 30mm today, al looong way from the Pyrenees of course.

Spare a thought for Sydney based Navigator 1 who is up on the Bluff by Lovicks Hut site. Reckon the new loo being built there is just like an ensuite as no one else is a about anywhere. They will be at Glenpatrick on Thursday or Friday. Been a bit of rain through up there apparently.

If you go to Wimmera Mallee page and hold your cursor over various spots you will see the 24 hour figure on the map. Eversley just near by had 12mm but Ararat had 27mm.

The map should be here

On another area we had 61mm

We went the other way just east of Heyfield near Lake Glenmaggie to the Nissan club property, we had just over 100mm to 9am Sunday and it was still tipping down.
We got warned to get out quick if we could and ended up driving in the opposite direction we normally would as there was so much water over the roads.
We couldn't get to Heyfield or Traralgon and ended up going via Rosedale and still had one stretch of water about 400 metres long at sidestep height to get through. I certainly wouldn't have wanted to leave much later than we did.
Townships of Newry, Tinamba etc warned of possible evacuation the 2nd time in a few months.
Regards Andrew.
