The first one looks like an early 50s Ford Pregect

No 2 looks like an Austin A40 (or A70)

No 3 - my pick for the car is a Humber Super Snipe (50s model)

No 4 is the same car - you can just make Super Snipe out on the bonet

No 6 is a 50s Commer

No 8 is a 50s Ford tipper

No 12 looks like it has a Dodge grill propped up on the front

& No 14 is a mid 50s Ford Customline (twin spinner.)

The rest are beyond me

They should have had a Missan - there's plenty of spares around for them. I think this is a 2007 3.0TD Common Rail waiting for a donor recipient to come along soon.

OK, I'll have a go;-))

Here's what I reckon....

3 & 4 .. as mentioned, Humber Super Snipe
5.. International something-or-other?
6 looks like Len Beadell's burnt-out ration truck
8 is a Ford.. I reckon circa 1946
11 .. looks like a Chev Impala???
12 .. 1938/9 Ford
14 is a 1954 Ford Customline (not the twin spinner, that was '51)

Car 9 likes a bit like a 1927/29 Oldsmobile. Either that or a Harley Davidson, you can see the shovel nose quite clearly.

No it's not. The cowl is tto narrow and the windscreen is too high for an Oldsmobile.

Lens Truck # 6 is a Commer, probably a knocker (2 stroke diesel) a lot of them were 2 stroke diesels, very noisy and extremly reliable for there day.

Hi All,
What a challenge especially for the young ones whose idea of an oldie is a 48/215 Holden.

Here's my thoughts.
1 Ford Prefect (early 50's)
1 Austin A40 Devon (as above)
3 Humber Super Snipe (late 40's early 50's)
4 As Above (same car)
5 International Ute (mid 50's L or AL 110)
6 Commer Truck 4wd (early 50's)
7 Not sure but could be Bedford Ute (early 50's)(from curved window frame)
8 Ford V8 truck (1946)
9 Probably Chev or Dodge tourer conversion to ute (1926-29)
10 Ford ute (late40's)
11 Oldsmobile (mid to late 50's)(more restrained fins than chev)
12 Ford truck (late 30's-early 40's_
13 Could be Guy, Daimler, Leyland or AEC (late30's- 40's)
14 Ford Customline (1953-4 First of the OHV motors)

If my memory serves me correctly (no guarantees there;-)),
the Oz '53-4 Cussos were still running the flathead (sidevalve) V8, though I believe the US models got the (239 cid??) Y-block in '54..
I'm pretty sure sure that the '55 model was the first (in Oz) to get the OHV engine, & 12v electrics being introduced in '56...

I had a '56 (in the late '60's)....
Aaahh, the memories;-)))

9. Most likely Dodge but pre 1927 judging by the shape and features of the front fenders and the windscreen posts. I would reckon more around 22 - 24.

10. looks a bit like my neighbor's 49 Ford F1 pickup.

11. Possibly 62 - 64 Dodge Polara or DeSoto Firesweep

12. Fargo??? going by the grille.

14. 54 Cusso (someone mentioned earlier). I want the engine!!!

Some vehicles of interest there.
