hi all
i want to go
camping up the NSW coast for the new years long weekend. Im looking for some where 4wd access only , beach , and hard to find. Trying to avoid the mass crowds at most
places that time of year. Im located in
sydney and dont want to drive much further than say
coffs harbour .
thanks jon

Good luck Jon.The coast has some great spots however during Xmas it will be like
camping in the middle of Parramatta Road.
I would try further inland away from the coast.
Regards.
Vince

If you get in early, Point Plommer (NP) north of Pt, Macquarie is an ideal spot. Even better is Delicate Nobby/Racecourse Reserve slightly further north.
Both best accessed from Crescent Head/Kempsey.
Absolutely magnificent beaches, top surfing around the headlands, best fishing, see
dingo's on
the beach if you are up early....... etc.etc. (and a resident Peacock at Racecourse!!)

Point Plomer/Racecourse/Delicate
Nobby will be absolutely chokka. A better bet would
Kylies Beach or adjacent sites, just south of
Dunbogan. Stll busy but not as bad. East coast at New Year and quiet doesn't happen.
