Hi all,
A concrete truck ran over my 48ah Thumper and destroyed it.
As I bought it in a
camping show I do not know where to get it. Dosen't matter which state as the concrete company will be paying for it.
Does anybosy know where I can get one from?
Thanks in advance
Peter

Peter,
Home of 12 volt (Blue Apple) are the manufacturers of the "Thumper" portable battery systems.
homeof12volt
You can give them a ring, or order on line. They will ship the product over to you in a few days.

extfilm,
The thumpers arent as good as they used to be as the quality of the batterys have been down graded.
Contact this bloke who can tell you the story, and is making a top quality unit better than the thumpers.
Mention my name if you like,

Hello all,
Home of 12 volt here again.
Just to post a follow up to the comment made regarding the so call 'down - grade' of the batteries used in the Thumper range...
We have now been manufacturing the Thumpers for over 10 years and have sold over 90,000 units Australia wide through major outlets including the ARB outlets.
Our battery quality has remained the same since day one and we now offer a 2 year warranty instead of our old 1 year.. Let's see how this company's battery will go in 2 years time as 12 volt powerhouse has only been manufacturing since June 07. It will be interesting to compare each unit after 2 years.
We at Home of 12 Volt are not in the market to down-grade anybody else's product.. but only time will tell
Thank you to all our customers who have purchased our product throughout the past 10 years

Good comment Ashliegh,
It is indeed unfortunate when "rumours" affecting a product's reputation is circulated by a competitor who perhaps doesn't have any technical facts to back their statement but simply bag a competitor's product in an attempt to increase their own company profile.
The quality and features of the Thumper, including the bonus of high capacity jump starting capability of the model I purchased, and the availability of things like the in-car charging kit was what sold me in the first place.
I am more than happy with the performance of my 75+ A/h Thumper and the confidence I have in the product.
Pesty,
Are you really sure of your facts mate?
It is healthy to see competition in the marketplace, but the quality and performance of a product should be judged on it's own performance and price, rather than underhanded bagging by a competitor.
I too have no financial interest in Blue Apple, or any relationship with it's directors. I also had the benefit of a couple of friends who own a Thumper product and their input helped when I made the decision to buy one. Simple as that!

Absolutely Bill,
Thought you knew me better than that.
I am surprised that you think I would knock a product if i wasnt sure of my facts.
I have had my fingers stepped on by this company and so made it my business to find out more about them.
I am not going to start a war on here, and i dont deal with them anymore.
I suspect your thumper was made when the product was good.
Will catch up and have a chat one day.
Cheers Pesty

Whatever... but how about paying your dues if you're advertising on the
forum (read the

I can recommend ExplorOz as a great business to do business with.

Kev, nah the POWER is simply 'created' by the solar panel
and then it's "stored" in a 12v battery :-))
but yes I know what you mean... lol
Some of those "portable" 12v power packs actually cost more than my entire AGM Deep Cycle battery system, including my Cranking battery too, and I think it's a dead-set joke when they are only so small in Amp Hour capacity, but each to his own, some really do look nice, and yes, some people obviously do need them and are prepared to pay the price !!
