Yesterday I picked up Elvis from Barnes Caravans in
Sydney . They have installed a Dometic diesel heater to warm my old bones during winter on the WA goldfields .
It is such a small unit but produces an amazing amount of heat in the 16 foot van . On low setting it uses only 110 ml of diesel an hour and the
tank which holds 4 litres , is filled through an external filler port .
I had it installed in the rear compartment and the hot air blower is situated at floor level , near my bed .
Luxury !
Willie .

What a coincidence. Willie, I was just sitting down to Member Message you to enquire if you had as yet had your heater fitted.
Do you have ESP or something?

Do yourself a favour Willie and fit a bigger tank. I have a 12 litre tank. Do you have a timer to shut it down again or is it permanently switched?

Hi John ,
I do not have a timer . Are you sure I would need a bigger tank ? This one theoretically, will give me 4000 divided by 1100 - 36 hours on low setting .
I would only have it on for half an hour in the morning and bugger all at night . I don't spend much time in the van unless it's raining .
What have you found out in your usage ?
Thanks ,
Willie .
