Hi all,
just wondering about what others use for the bottom of your
camp ensuite on the shower side, to keep feet out of mud. have tried a pile of sawdust and a rubber mat but with 2 kids it just gets everywhere. want something light enough but able to withstand my fully beer laden weight ...lol
cheers in advance
Mick

We also use the foam mats with a shower tent above. If we are staying in the same place for a few days we move the tent. It's one of the self erecting type

Back in the old days we use to use a wooden pallet with a rubber mat with holes on it on top.
It helps to have a ute though, for transporting it.

Mick,
We used to use one of the plastic trays that supermarkets keep their loafs of bread on, with a cheap car rubber mat on top. Worked a treat, took up no room to pack.
Cheers,
Mark.

6x4 Plastic tarp is all we use both in front of and inside the shower tent. Just make sure the back of the shower tent is downhill, so the
water flows out the back.

We use a small piece of artificial grass with holes poked through. Weve tried plasic of all sorts but you still get muddy, the grass was the only thing that we didnt get any mud on our feet after several showers.

A double layer of at least 75% shadecloth,
water goes straight through, dries quickly and packs up small. We've used it in everything, mud, sand, grass and just about everything in between. Also used as a mat at the front door of the tent or camper.

We cover the base of the shower with gum leaves (dry or green) and then have one of those rubber mats with holes on top of that. works a treat.

We use the Rubber mat trick and if on black soil country where mud may be a problem then the old bread crate upside down works great with the rubber mats .
ER or you can just give up showering for a phew days sic.

We just use the Bushranger drivers side floormat - has a rim that stops the muddy
water flowing back onto it. Always in the vehicle and drys in a couple of minutes thrown over the bullbar. Why pack something when there is already a floor mat in the vehicle :-)

Hi Mick T
Bunnings have a slatted wooden one, quite nice for about $35. A rubber mat to the thickness you desire can be put on top of it should you find it hard on the feet.
Used it last weekend and was quite happy with it.

Hi Mick
We use a small blow up paddling pool with a drain plug in the base - it fits nicely in the bottom of the shower tent and the drain on the bottom allows the
water to run out without getting muddy feet. The only problem is that the little blue ducks which are printed on the sides make for some humerous comments at some
camp sites!
cheers
Bryan

We use a foam holed mat, similar to the ones shown of the link below.
You can buy them in packs of 4 or 6 and "clip" them together.
We find just one of about 600mm square does the job for us and it fits into the bag that holds the "viagra tent" as someone mentioned above.
Foam Mats
The link shown is for Discount
Camping but I think they would be available in most
camping stores.
