G'day all just after some opinions in relation to a issue i had a little while ago.

I was supplied desert fox shocks when i was under the impression that i was

quoted Koni's, the installer will replace the shocks for Koni's for $300 and

install an extra leaf in the rear being 10 in total. The Troopy will always be fully

loaded as i'm off on an extended trip. I have also found out that the suspension

system is supplied by 4x4 offroad Australia does any one have any knowledge on there products?

Just a little confused on what i should do

Regards

Stephen

What did you ask for prior to selecting the installation?

If you asked for koni's then that's what the installer should have put in for the price originally quoted.

Sounds like a shonk to me.

Sand Man, i did ask for koni i remember him saying i use koni on all my

suspension kits but when i confronted him he stated "i haven't charged you for

koni" . Did not get a quote in writing so as far as any legal avenues go its his

word against mine.

Should i pay the $300 for koni's?

well how much are Koni's worth compared to what you paid.

Call up another place and get a quote for Koni and if it is around $300 more than what this guy charged you then you would be safe to bet that he did install the wrong shocks but didn't bill you for something he didn't fit (Koni).

Send a few mates over to see him and 'discuss' the matter. He may remember accidentally supplying the wrong shocks and wish to rectify the problem!

You never know of you don't ask... in the right manner.
