This looks like it will be a winner, It also records your tracks and you can save up to 10 routes

hmmmmm,

Wonder if Garmin will do a software update for the Nuvi 660 that extends it to record tracks and allow some route planning!

wow!

Looking further into the GPSOZ site it says that the 660 is discontinued and the 760 is the replacement.

Is that $799 Aus dollars?

The 660 was over a grand when new!

Yeah I know , but don't forget Aust $ is better now , I still don't understand why the 7200 and 276C is at the same price, maybe GME have too many in stock. City Nav V8 must be out now for this model.
I've been looking at this model for a couple of weeks now

The V8 map upgrade is now available from Garmin for the 660. Mine is on order and have been waiting almost eight weeks now. I sent Garmin an Email about 3 weeks ago and they assured me it will be with me soon! A lot to distribute I imagine.

Same here Andrew - map CD on order. Is only a minor upgrade though. Biggest change is Lane Cove tunnel in Sydney.

Cheers

Hi Skippy
Do oyu know if you can load lat and long into the 760, make a way point and then go to it?
Can you change the position format to to different latand long systems or the grid format?
You were able to do this on the old style GPSs but with all the newer ones with mapping this is not an option
Thanks Ray

You can add lat lon co-ords with all the Nuvi's not sure how many datums can be set.

There should be some Nuvi experts on here that can tell you, where are you Roachie !!
