Des,
He's actually taken time off work (under the guise of having had some dastedly medical condition and subsequent operation), just so he could spend copious amounts of time trying to find out why his droopy won't run properly.
Well, actually, that is a lie (I am being far too kind; as usual)......the droopy has been pronounced DOA at the workshop and Lucky is off work in a perpetual state of mourning for the next 40 days and 40 nights.
Some of you may have noticed (but have been far too protective of Lucky's feelings to have said anything to his face, of course), that his beloved droop-carrier has been suffering from a rather obvious afflication for some time now. I speak, of course, about the tumor on the bonnet....... a large, uncontrollable swelling; strangely enough, not all that much unlike the swelling you may have seen between Lucky's ears!!!
Anyway, dear reader, the diagnosis has not been good right from the outset and although they tried every tool in the box, the specialists were unable to stem the swelling and it was decided (against Lucky's wishes I might add) that the kindest thing to do would be to withdraw the life support tubes and allow the wretched thing to pass on to that big rust pile in the sky (where all the other blandcruisers end up).
RIP Droopy
