Hi all
We are currently in Hastings Point and are looking for a quiet, peaceful place to camp within 120km - 130km radius, over the Xmas New Year festivities. Prefer free or low cost camp sites, we are self sufficient with solar power etc. Not real keen on crowds and we enjoy walking, fishing and can pretty much amuse ourselves so there does not have to be a lot to do. Any ideas?
Cheers Russ n Sue

Hastings Point - northern NSW?
Nice spot, we are heading to Pottsville for the same period for a "quiet time". Suppose quiet is relative.

Good luck, don't know of many good spots in the area that won't have a few people around. Sorry, I can't help.

Russ and Sue,
Very busy in that area over christmas holidays, and you may need to look at travelling a bit further.
A nice spot near murgon is the Barambah Bush Park

Oldplodder, we too are off to Pottsville in January (Pottsville North caravan Park)
A great spot

Hi Peter.
We should organise a drink or two over the Xmas break for all you cane toads heading down to our great Tweed region.
Regards.

Pottsville south, on the creek.
Heading down on the 22nd, back for a couple of days for a family Christmas, then down till the 5th. Back to work on the 7th.

Would be good to have a couple of cold ones together.
Will member message my mobile no.

May be a bit far for you to travel but Google up Bullock Mountain Homestead.
It is 2000 acres of bush, 7k. of river frontage, cod catch and release, sapphire fossicking, and its 20km. out of Glen Innes.
