I might not be
well educated, but at least try to make an effort with correct spelling.
Is it possible to segregate the Submit and Spell Check buttons. Having them so close together is not good design on a web site.

Kim

Ive hit that button many a times as a mistake.
The other thing is when want to search for a
forum post you hit search you have to untick all the boxes and then tick
forum to search.

I use the
forum search that you can access via the
forum main page and not the main search icon at the top right of screen. Much easier

Hello - you are a brave man accusing Dave of bad web design!! My guess is people just choose not to use it - don’t think it is an ongoing issue of hitting submit by mistake. In theory this would also mean as many people would hit the spell check by mistake i.e. 50/50.
Fact of life on forums - people don’t care that much. Even if the spell check was automatic/compulsory it still would not be fool proof as it provides a list of options. You need to know/care about the correct spelling of a word to get it right in any event. Don’t think there is any real solution, and even if there was don’t think it can be solved by discussing it here.
Cheers

You can download ieSpell for free and access it from the top toolbar in Internet Explorer. Solved the problem and it's much quicker too.

Although I think that segregation is a bad idea I think u may be onto something here Kim (where were u Friday nite tho!).
I have emailed David and suggested changing the submit and preview buttons over. Lets see where it goes.

Gidday Bonz
As I said in the post, I thought the get together was on the Thursday. Turned up but nobody was there. Did'nt finish work until 11pm on Friday and was a bit buggared.
At work we've (not me) put a bit of effort into web site navigation to
test, and request input from the public. At the top end of the responses was button segregation, confusing linkages and distractive presentation.
No big deal. If other don't think it's a problem.
Regards
Kim

Ahhh thats a late finish mate, I was looking forward to saying Hi.
I like your idea about the submit button and IMHO David's pretty responsive to these types of suggestions, they just go on his todo list.
Catch u next time, have a good chrissy

Yes I totally agree. One must at all times use pretentious verbage to maintain the impression that one is educated...
Nothin lowers the tone of fora such as this as bad spelling, americanisations and poor grammar...
I do think Kim M you are under rating yourself, your posts always appear most concise & erudite, unlike some who I refuse to name on a pubic area.....
