Good news for the Folks with the above combination.

I happened to ring the Nokia Care Centre in Adelaide this morning and the lass recalled a new firmware version had been released. She checked and advised yes, it was released yesterday.

The new version V4.21 is only currently available by visiting a Nokia Care Centre and they will upgrade the firmware version of the 6120.

I assume this will eventually be available via the Nokia Software Updater facility but not yet.

I have just made a call to my wife via the CK-7W and she confirms NO ECHO!

So, the Nokia 6120 coupled to the CK-7W via Bluetooth now works successfully.
I also have the Force Technology produced cradle which allows charging via a power adapter to the ciggy socket and external aerial connecton via an inductive coupler built-in to the cradle. I think this is as good as we can expect, but it now works well. (I have not yet confirmed the improvement of reception via the external aerial.)

So now you don't have to discard your CK-7W car kit which are very very good. I have tried other kits and they don't come close.

I must agree - don't know what Nokia were thinking about with that one?
