we have just replaced the battery in our 1996
Delica and now there is a marked drop in engine power.
Also quite a few of the accessories don't work(power windows doors locks etc.
does anybody have any ideas.

Is it the 2.8l diesel?
Checked your fuses?
Checked for a box under the bonnet with fusible links, or for fusible links located near around the battery?

I thought the delica was fitted with dual batteries.
Has your battery set been modified?

Im guessing they have left something un-plugged near the battery box while changing batteries.

Sounds like you may have "shorted" out the electrics (bugga)
Some Delicas come over with just one battery, and some with two in series.

thanks to all for your replies.
the vehicle has only one main battery.
Yes it starts easy
we cant see any obvious plugs not connected.
have checked fuses seem ok
does this vehicle have some sort of computer that could possibly be damaged after all it is over 10 years old.
can anyone recommend anyone around eastern to southern suburbs of
sydney that we could take it to

If it's anything like the Pajero electricals, then there is no processor that controls the power to the power windows or door locks.
