This is the first time that I have won Pick This Place, My prize, two of the new stubby holders arrived in the post today. They look good and will get a good work out.

Roachie, I noticed that you were a winner also and selected the stubby holders as well. They should look good in the cup holders of the 200Series in which there would only be a soft drink. :-))

Having a photo in the competition is also great. The last one guessed, King Edward River Crossing, was one of mine and I was for ever checking what the guesses were.
The other photo's that I submitted are now on Places, so if you are wanting to know what the area is like take a look King Edward Crossing in the Places section

This year for me has been very busy, having been to every state and territory in Australia, including Tasmania.

I look forward to doing the Canning, for the forth time, again this year, the remoteness of the trip is what keeps me going back to do it again.

The best trip that I do, and will be back down there early January, is the 7 day Vic High Country. I have probably done this trip at least 25 times and I look forward to each trip like it was my first time down there.

To the ExplorOz team that put this site together and keep it running and to the names with out faces that that keep the forum alive, have a Merry Christmas and drive safely and I just might see you on the track some where in Australia.

Yeah - I am annoyed because I put King Edward River in ... tried campsite and all sorts of things except *** crossing and it isn't the crossing anyways.

Cheers & merry Chrismas to you too Wayne

Hi Wayne, Your King edward picture clearly shows the river rock weir we built in 1996 to slow the river a bit so we could cross. The top of the weir was about .75m underwater as we built it and it took 5 guys about 10 hours to complete. I'll post a bit more info tomorrow as I have to go to a work xmas do now.
