Gday all, been let down by my local supplier with getting my 79 series new tread. I need 4 X 285/75 BFG Muddies before I head back to the N.T from Tamworth on the 28th. Just a long shot I know but would rather have the tyres on before I leave, or maybe pick up on route.

Cheers

H,

Try Tuff Tyres in the 'Curry, or Mt Isa. Usually stocks a fair supply of BFG tyres,

Hooroo,

Going back via dinosaur country ?
The tyre place opposite the front gate of the northside caravan park in Winton was great for us - had BFG's and prices were very reasonable too.
Couple of young blokes in there were into bush bashing and had a plenty of LT tyres including BFG's.
The caravan park is on the top edge of the town, on the corner of Chirside St and the main drag north-east to Hughenden.
The tyre place is probably Tuff Tyres Winton 40 Chirside St 4735(07) 4657 0700

Good one, Darian.

Didn't think about Darren & "Bones" @ Tuff Tyres Winton, until after I'd turned the 'puter off. They have no affliation with the other Tuff Tyres, in Isa & Curry.Well, except that they sell tyres!!

We get all our tyres from them these days, and they can get almost anything. I'll tell them about your post....."f...ing bewdy , mate"

Merry Christmas & all the best for 2008.

Bob.

Indeed ..... I was in the middle of a big trip and needed a new BFG ...... it was only $15 to $20 more than here in Adelaide...... they did some wheel rotations for me around the car and the camper, a couple of balances and swapped a couple of tyres across rims...... very helpful and great pricing for their time spent.

Thanks guys, will call them Monday. Not sure which route as yet, either across Plenty, or up to the Isa or Broken Hill, Pt Augusta. Will wait and see what the rivers are up to with this latest deluge. I have to end up in Alice.
Cheers
