Hi,

I am looking at buying a pair of snow chains for 265/70 X 16. Does anyone have any idea or experience about WHERE, WHAT BRAND, WHAT PRICE ?

Thanks a lot.

CC,

Diamond for the front, ladder for the back. Piranha in Melbourne sell them, don't know what price. I paid $160 for some ladder ones in the Isa, about 10 years ago.
They worked pretty good, until some clown used them to tow the horse truck out of a bog.

You any relation to those corn chips? See ya, hooroo...

Hi I have a line on a set to suit a 10r/15 in Sydney, which is very close if not thesame to being a 265.

G'Day CC or anyone else,
Cluttering up my garage is a pair of Konig "4x4" chains to suit 31" tyres. They're top grade, square section and diamond pattern. They would suit 265/70 R16, 265/75 R16, 275/70 R16 or 10R15's. These chains are generally reputed to be the best available for traction and safety for a 4x4.

They've been carried on many ski trips but never used (brand new). I have the original hessian bag and instructions. I now have 285/75's which they don't fit and are evidently too expensive to lengthen to be worth it.

From memory, they cost about $380 in 1996 from Traction 4. I'd be happy
with $150. I'm in Sydney.

Hit me offline richard_cowan@hotmail.com or ph. 0419 415-581

Thanks,

Richard
