Hi there,
I´ve purchased a Hilux Surf 2.4 Turbo Diesel with a leaking diesel pump last week. It took my a couple of days to get the parts but I´ve got them here now: diesel pump, timing-belt kit, waterpump.
I am in Liverpool
Sydney and looking for some one who can give me some advise as
well as I need that car for traveling around Australia.
Do you know some mechanics in
Sydney or Central Coast who have experience on surfs?
Thank you for your help guys.
Denny

I remeber your post from the other day. Why isnt the dealer fitting the pump up for you !!! I remember some one saying that if it was leaking then it wasnt classed as road worthy and they shouldnt have been sold till it was (fixed the pump). Have you tried saying this to the dealer ??? Actual answer to your question, no not around Liverpool anyway. Regards Steve M

Hey Steve,
well, I spent 3 days in the car dealers yard and he already went crazy. But we arrived at an agreement so he paid me all the parts: nearly 1000 dollars, excluding the previous work on the car in his worshop (brakes, hoses). Now I have to pay for the mechanic only. I am ok with that and the after all price is still not to bad, I think.
Thanky you
Denny

Hi,
thanks for your reply.
To repalce the diesel pump isn´t it just plug&play or does something has to be adjusted to the system?
If not, I think any mechanic can change the pump. Right?
Cheers
Denny
