NATMAP Raster Premium 2005 has been around for some time and is very good. Works extremely well with OziExplorer.

But I read on this forum a week ago that a new release is imminent. The 2008 version is due some time soon, although there is no reference to it on the Aus Government Geoscience Web site.

Perhaps contact them for more info?NATMAP

If you are referring to the Hema product I purchased it. I did so to get the Hema Maps which are very good.

It also contains the Raster maps. They are not mosaic. I had previously got the Natmap Premium DVD and had that.

If you consider the cost of purchasing the 30 Hema maps individually it is a worthwhile purpose. If you are after the raster maps only purchase Natmap Premium DVD.

The 2008 version was released last month (2007) and includes all maps from the previous version plus Flinders Ranges and High Country Victoria. Excellent value and very good maps. Can highly recommend.

Being 1:250000 scale NATMAP Raster are adequate but don't show real close detail that you might need or want such as all the tracks and roads. You might then consider 1:100000 or even 1:50000 scale.

Other digital maps in other scales are also availabke if you need more detail.

Here is a link to Geoscience for their complete digital map catalogue.

Hi Wizard1,

Geoimage Pty Ltd is not Geoscience Australia :-) Their catalogue is available at http://www.ga.gov.au/bridge/catalogue.jsp
