Caught a glimpse of the show but kids were going nuts and had to turn it over - what's the story with the planes? Are they serviceable or is it really a boneyard?? Think there are some other ones in New Mexico???

HI there Richard , some planes are still in service - others are just used for scrap / spares - in in the case of Australia - we actually buy some of the war birds from them for our fleet - there was a guy on the program saying that they keep a lot of the older warbirds that they sold to us in Australia , as we may need spares for them one day :) . Would be a very interesting place to visit

I have not been to this place on the telly but I did go to an equivalent place in moscow, it had all their migs, su 27, mig29 and the biggest of everything like the biggest heli ever made, a concorde replica but larger and faster, their fully automated space shuttle buran, the chopper that flew missions dumping sand on chenobyl (all the pilots died within 1 week and it had a bit of tape around it we could not go through because it gives off radiation). Anyway I got a few photos and it was an amazing place. Also had a titainium bomber which at the time was so fast no fighter could catch it.

that one is in the air,
this one is not S32 06 31.9 E116 55 20.6 and if go south down the street and turn left at the first intersection there's another Vampire there on the right opposite the large green shed.
