Personally I would tell them to **** off.

Gutter press at it's worst

A family has lost one of its most loved ones; a father, a husband, a son and all these pathetic rumour mongers can do is try to cause further distress. Have they no idea what such a trauma does to people, do they care...? Do they hell - as long as it sells newspapers or get's TV coverage. It's more than possible there is trouble within the family, given their recent stress, however is having that plastered across a newspaper likely to help!?

I suggest people contact these hyenas and tell them to desist.

Pathetic little runts who seek to make money from a family's distress.

You are right Mike, but the bastards know that this sort of crap sells papers. The higher the volume of sales the greater they charge for advertising.
Compassion? no. Assholes? yes. Will they change? no.

If the gutter press is spreading rumours what is the problem with the SMH trying to squash them? I think the main problem is too many on this forum with too much time on their hands trying to stir up trouble.

Old news Mike.

I think the general public mourned the loss of Steve at the time.

BUT.... since, we have seen a little girl turned into a media fiasco. And for what?? Money I suggest.

How will that little girl girl grow up? Not like a normal little child playing in the sand and swapping cards I would suggest.

Sad, very sad.

Jim.

Fair point Jim.

Hardly worth mentioning really.

I'll pick up the papers tomorrow and see if I can find another bit of titillation to keep me amused for five minutes.

Fun isn't it.

Hi Jim,

I hear what you are saying, bit fact is that Bindi will grow up the same way she would have had Steve still been alive...... that is, in the spotlight, as will Bob.

Yes, I would have to agree and the important thing for Bindi is that she genuinely enjoys and excels in what she is doing.

She is a great legacy (and showperson) like her dad and is doing a fantastic service to help lift the profile of the protection of Australian Wildlife and be a worthwhile Ambassador for Australia.

I would be the first to admit that Steve "grew on me" over a period of time. At first I thought 'what a wanker" but the more I saw of his documentaries, the more his infectious enthusiasm for what he was doing grew on me.

Onya Bindi.

The report contains the following statement:

"For weeks now rumours originating from within Australia Zoo on the Sunshine Coast have claimed that relations between Terri Irwin and her father-in-law, Bob Irwin, had broken down, that Bob had left the family "compound" at the zoo and was upset with the direction the Irwin empire was headed."

It seems to me that the media are merely reporting views/opinions/observations/facts? that they say are 'rumours originating with Australia zoo'. That's what the media (fourth estate) actually does in a free society like ours!

OK - which of you with the opposed view are going to be in charge of media censorship?????

Happy days
