What a letdown.

As a pharmacist, I thought "great, at last a thread I know something about..."

Why? Don't pharmacists wear protection?

Plenty at Stansbury a week ago, not sure about Clinton. All a good size and full of meat.

Yes we did some crabbing in Stansbury 2 weekends ago and got a few, there are still a lot undersized, I'd give it another month and she could be bigger , thats if the other buggers don't catch them first

We caught more off the jetty at night then racking during the day, we also had a large stingray circling for food which didn't help

A good rule of thumb is crabs are around in months with an R in them. In SA that is.

Appears to be crabs in most places at the moment.

We caught our allowed quota a fortnight ago at Tickera, just above Wallaroo.
Yes plenty of undersized ones which we kissed and returned to the water, but there were sufficient mummy and daddy crabs for the taking too.

Between three of us, we captured 113 out of the allowable 120. (40 each)

They were in the pot within three hours and we spent a pleasant evening feasting on some. Still got others in the freezer but they are definitely best when freshly chilled from the cooking pot.

Too much information???

Give Pt. Clinton a go Shane. What have you got to lose?
