North Qld town soaked by 728mm of rain
More than 700 millimetres of rain has fallen over a small north Queensland town flooding houses and businesses.
Eleven houses in
Silkwood, south of
Innisfail, were flooded forcing the residents of two to be evacuated.
Six businesses and the ambulance station also were inundated.
A State Emergency
Services (SES) spokeswoman said volunteers had used 250 sandbags to protect homes.
A resident of
Silkwood recorded 728mm between 6.45am and 5pm (AEST) on Sunday

Doug,
It looks like some Qld towns and cities are taking it in turns for a drenching, eg. Mackay, Rocky, Charlies Trousers,
El Arish,
Silkwood etc. Wonder who is next.
Cheers,
Bros.

Hey Doug
You might have to put a couple of anchors on that caravan of yours,
and as Bros 1 said, start the pumps, or get to some high ground, or are you locked in with the high water. keep safe mate.
Cheers
Daza.
