Me and my son are going to across Simpson around 14- 15th April, from
Adelaide via
Oodnadatta, Dalhousie, etc then back via the
Birdsville track, and back to
Sydney 25th.
so far just one car going, I have some soft sand driving experience. also we have prepared: 6 new BFG tyre (2 spare), over 100L water, long rang tank (270L), Satellite Phone, GPS,
UHF radio, and all the recover gears, so just need find mor car to travel together.

Its quite early in the season and you might not see too many travellers out and about.
The dune crests may still be up to 1 metre deep in soft sand
20-18 psi is the go for tyre pressures, or less if your vehicle struggles
Its a good time of the year to be out there. Enjoy!
Cheers
