Anyone doing a 'remote' trip this year- and would like to have an EPIRB- just in case..
By remote- I don't mean the Simpson Desert- or Cape York- or Flinders, Rundle or Pitt St..
We carried it when we did the Beadell Roads in '06, Sometimes didn't see another soul for over 4 days...
It's a GME MT300- not activated, battery good til April 2010- still current operation.

Don't know if you would consider someone who is not a member. I will be doing the Madigan line late Jun and definitely would be interested in your offer.

Hi Laura
As mentioned in previous posts- This epirb would not be ideal after Jan 09- but all good till then...
That's why I thought someone might get benefit out of it this year.

I might be doing a big trip in the near future, looking for a good Troopy to buy, I might have to go to every corner of this great country, but alas I fear there is NO SUCH THING as a good Troopy.

No give the epirb to a more deserving member.
See Ya.

G'day signman we are leaving on a 4 week trip at the end of the month. Traveling to Cameron Corner, Innamincka via Moomba, Cordillo Downs, Birdsville up to Bouila across the Plenty to Alice. Doing the whole Rock thing then doing all the sites in the Red Centre. Its not really a totally remote area we are travelling to but its a great idea you have giving your EPIRB to a good home. But maybe it should be on a when "I'm done with it" it should be passed on to a new good home. So on and so on until Jan 09. But I think it should be members only.

Thanks Derek L
