My current nokia car kit is not compatible with the new phone so i have to get the Force cradle, ck-7w car kit (6120 dont have a hard wired kit yet) and ill be replacing antenna with the rfi cd2195. I was quoted today, $619.50 installed. This sounds a bit rich to me??. Has anyone got a similar set-up and what did you pay. Is there much involved doing it myself?. David

The memory is rusty but the bluetooth was between $200 to $300 and antenna $120? Ask them for a
breakdown.
I installed it myself, but didn't hook up to the Mute function of my stereo which I can turn of or mute with a small reach of my hand!
Just take your time, see where each part will fit and it's not much harder than installing a UHF. I'm no wizard in these things but it was easy and you don't need 'special' tools to install.
Cheers,
Mark.

Gday Mark,
Ebay has the kits for around $130 give or take, the antennas are around the $120 and the cradle on the Force website is $80. If this is correct that means almost $300 to install and they tell me it only takes an hour. IM no wiz at this stuff either and a very short fuse when it comes to fiddling around but to save $300 its got to be worth a go. Cheers David

David.
Do it yourself.
Set aside half a day, take your time.
100 series no problem.

David,
You are being ripped off mate.
The CK-7W can be purchased from under $200.
(Next Mobile sell them for $145 plus delivery)
So this equals around the $450 mark for installation. Too much!!!
You should find that the new control box can be simply swapped over for the old, using the same power connection and mounting fitting. The remote controller is easily installed and will stick to the console or wherever with some double sided tape or velcro, then plugs into the control box. The Force cradle simply plugs into a ciggy socket, there is no physical connection to the controller.
If you have an existing external antenna, this connects to the cradle's antenna lead with the existing fitting.
Do it yourself mate, it should be a piece of cake and you will get great satisfaction that you saved yourself $450.

David,
Make sure you have the 6120 upgraded to the latest firmware release to eliminate the original echo problem experienced with bluetooth connection to the CK-7W.
The CK-7W is a great solution, I have had no problem with
mine, except for the echo problem, now resolved.
