I have recently purchased a Uniden UHF/AM radio. What are the best aerials to use. Is it best to install them both on the bull bar?

Actually, it is aleady available. The brand is Laser . I was sold it with the radio about 12mths ago now at Barrie Auto Electrics, Hornsby NSW. There is a splitter box that comes with it (one cable in, 2 out) that separates the UHF and AM signals. I assume you can use it with two separate radio's too. I think it's about a 6db gain, black whip about 1M long. Works fine.Regds

Michael,
Why not try clicking on "Vehicle Requirements" above, then "communications", see what you find. Perhaps try a business search under "communications" for the area you live. Lots of info on site.

Hi Michael...The UHF antenna is a simple rule... "the higher the better"...... UHF is affected by things in the way of the antenna....
Buy yourself a swingdown antenna mount so you dont have to get outta the car to get the antenna off when you go under the carport..._____________________________________________

Hi Rosco.. I cant help you over there but in Adelaide it is http://www.electricbug.com.au....................................
You could do a phone order with them... The mount is adjustable with a ratchet affect so you can change the amount of force it take to pull to the roof..._____________________________________________
