Julio,
I stayed at Nardoo Station which is situated north of Cunnamulla on the Mitchell Highway. I only stayed one night, unpowered site I was travelling at the time but I thought it was quite good.

Here is their website.

julio,

Have a look at this site it gives a few more but I'm sure there's more station stays in outback qld than what are listed.

Julie,

I know of one up here,

It is about half way between Gladstone and Rockhampton.

Langmorn and Old Station at Raglan

I will have a detailed report on this one in the next month or so as I am going to see them about having a gathering held there, as the facilities they have would be a good base from which to do short trips from.

You are best speaking with Helen.

Cheers Kev

Julio C,
Another one is/was "Werrilyerna", north west of Boulia. Stayed there in 2004. Camp beside a billabong. No amenities then. Very quiet and plenty of redclaw thingies.

Julio,

I just remembered another web site, it is not exactly Farm Stay but it would be well worth it IMHO. As there would be no better way to experience it.

Outback Properties needing Assistance

Members Ray & Jen did this recently and thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

Cheers Kev

Hi,

We stayed at Carisbrooke Station last July (south of Winton). Great facilities for travellers - hot showers, fire pit, fresh water, toilets etc. Camped in one of their paddocks so very dry but well worth the experience. The property is in a spectacular area. Found out about them from a website: www.outbackholidays.info (qld tourism site)

Phone number for Carisbrooke is: 07 46573 984.

Charlie & Ann are great hosts, and agree with Macleod about the scenery around there.
