Has anyone travelled this road through Cullymara NP. I haev the Hema Outback NSW map (1999) which shows the road/track and the Desert Tracks SE (2001) which doesn't show it. Also my Magellan Tourer map doesn't show it. Just wondered if it exists and/or is navigable, appreciate thoughts, thanks, Moira

Do you mean
Currawinya NP or have I misunderstood? I have only done the road from
Eulo to
Hungerford (very good), but if you want to ask the
Ranger, they are on (07) 4655 4001

I take it you're talking about the road from
Hungerford to Thargominda?
If it is it's situated just north of
Hungerford and is signposted it runs along the
dingo fence for a while then heads up to Thargo. It's a fairly
well used road, last time I was on it it was in the same condition as the Eulo/
Hungerford road and pretty good, typical outback road.
As Hughd says the
ranger at
Currawinya would be able to provide it's current condition I'm sure.
A stop at
Currawinya waterhole and a visit to Lake Wyara and Lake Numala would be worth it as they should have some water in them if so the bird life should be plentiful.

We were in
Currawinya last August.
The
ranger told us that the road from near the
ranger station in the national park NW to Thargo was closed.
Suggest you
check with the
ranger at
Currawinya.
Unless you mean the road from
Hungerford along the dog fence as above.
