Has anyone crossed the Murchison river lately?

Just wondering how much water is it just now?

Cheers
Graeme

Hi Graeme

fair bit of water at Galena bridge on NWC hway last week.
You could not stay for long, bloody flies are thick. I mean thick, we grabbed a bite to eat and bolted --- to Shark Bay where the bloody mossies were nearly as bad.

just returned yesterday from a few days poking around the upper reaches of the murchison, travelled the coolacalayla road on the way out which comes out on the highway at the galena bridge.
water was trickling over the causeway at the yallalong homestead crossing, glad i got out before the rain started monday evening as some of the flat areas along there would be very interesting with a bit of moiosture.
the level at the highway bridge yesterday may have been a tad above normal, looked a bit dirtier on the downstream side.
cheers ,sparra
