I fueled up one of the cars last night, and Diesel was $1.80.9 lt so I went to fill the other three this morning, and nearly had a hearty, $1.86.9 lt over night.
Don't laugh Jim as Gas was $1.01.9 lt.
So over 120 lts it's a $7.20 increase over night.
I suppose that is what happens when there is no competition.
Cheers Steve.

And I suppose it was the same lot of fuel that was in the bowser when you filled up first time i.e. a fresh load at a new wholesale price had not been dropped in the bowser tank overnight?
If it was fuel at the previous wholesale price it becomes a profiteering exercise. I understand this happens all the time prices go up overnight on fuel that was dumped in a service station tank days previous which would have had a lesser wholesale price.
Wonder if they drop the price straight away when a new load that is worth less on the wholesale market than the previous fill occurs.
I'll guess us consumers will never know.
Cheapest diesel around my neck of the woods is at Shell Gympie, $1.629; Sunshine Coast is averaging $1.67.
Steve you'll be feeling it running 4 vehicles!!

I should point out that I am not complaining, reason being when I worked at
Mobil Jabiru over the wet season I got a lot of gear for my business through them at cost.
It was a shock though to see an increase over night, the fuel truck was in on Tuesday, and I know it is delivered free as part of an agreement with the
mine, mind you the
mine uses 1.4 million lts a month on diesel just to run the power station this in turn runs power to
Jabiru, the
mine pays 78 cents per lt.
It does hurt the bottom line, but that is business, If I had vehicles they had 12 seats or more I could get a rebate, I will not do this as my tours are based and advertised as small group tours, I expect my fuel bill this year to be about $1700 per week, for the season.
Cheers Steve.

Here in Tassie the front page of the main
Hobart rag, has a call for a petrol price probe. Now as you are aware
Hobart, indeed Tasmania, is not really that big BUT the ULP price ranges from $1.39 up to $1.60 per litre here in
Hobart. 21c difference per litre is mind blowing to say the least. One servo on a major road into
Hobart was $1.40 one day, $1.54 the next and then $1.45 the next.
Funny how fuel price enquiries never turn up any monkey business.
Been on my soapbox a lot tonight but...............
