Many of you will know that some of our high profile
forum celebrities are at present living it up in their swags at the 4WD challenge at, and around,
Broken Hill.
Thanks to the assistance of modern day carrier pigeons, a couple have flew the coupe with the news that poor Lucy has sprained an ankle in a ditch, that wasnt meant to be hit by a size 16 boot!
Splints have had to be applied to the steering arms and large logs of Mallee bandaged in place of the front spring as a crutch so a limping exercise could be taken back to
Broken Hill for some emergency surgery.
Medical officers were unable to make any sence out of what
"The Babbling NUT holding the wheel" was saying.
Seems that spending the week with the chevynissroach maybe just a bit more than he can handle!!!
Im sure more detail will be forth coming when the next pigeon flight is executed.
Cheersz pesty

Pesty,
You should know by now that he will deny it happened unless there are photos to prove it LOL

Dear Mr Pesty,
I was there when the sad old droopy fell into the hole. Unfortunately, I was not thinking quickly enough........ I had 2 choices: 1) to assist Lucky to extricate the errant droopy OR: 2) to throw a few shovels of dirt over the top of it and give it a decent burial. I chose the former course of action and the droopy named Lucy now lives to fight another day. It will need (at least) a new pair of front leaf springs and bushes, a new wheel, a new tie-rod end and goodness knows what else. The steering wheel was out of whack by 90 degrees (about the same number that could be attached to the temperature of Lucky's blood when this event occured).
It was a very similar occurence to that which several of us witnessed at
Warraweena last year......there was a wash-away on one side of the track. Everybody else in the convoy managed to navigate their way around the hole without incident, but Lucky had his glasses fogged-up (or something) and this hole just sort of jumped out at him from nowhere.
Anyway, he is very proud of himself, the droopy, the Cooper STTs and the ARB diff lockers......cos he was able to drag a bogged BushRanger out of a creek at "Viewmont".
Suffice to say that we all had a great time at B/
Hill and I'm pleased to advise that the ChevNissan was the ONLY vehicle in our group of (initially) 12 vehicles, that survived unscathed through the whole week. It would be remiss of me not to note that of the 12 vehicles in our group, 10 were competition trucks, so I guess it may have been expected that they would cop a bit of a flogging (and THAT is a major understatement!!!!).
Roachie......
