Looking for advice on this leg of the trip to Alice, uluru etc, as unwilling to do a return (bactracking) trip via South Oz. Particularly keen for advice about highlights,
places to go, as opposed to quickest route.

Hi there,
Depends on what your driving etc. Must do's are the
West Macdonnell Ranges, The Mereenee Loop Rd through Kings Canyon etc.
Cross the Plenty Hwy to
Boulia, down the
Birdsville Track to
Marree then down to
Port Augusta.
If you don't have a 4x4 then disregard the above mentioned route lol

Why not just "hop" across the Simpson to
Birdsville and then down to
Marree ?
