Having a Grey Moment

Whats new ever ones saying hahahaha I am trying to hook up my Magellan GPS to OziExplorer on my lap top, but do you think I can remember how to find where the com port settings are on my lap top. Is it in control panel some where? gee I think I am loosing it. I was using it all the time when I was using the Magellan and Discover Aus....any help would be great.

Isn't that done thru OziExplorer-File>Configuration>GPS then COM..

I got to that part, but I am sure some where on the computer you have to set it as well, thanks for the feed back Signman

Not an expert here Bruce- but I set my Lappy up with my ole Garmin GPS12 last weekend.
Hadn't used it for a few years (now on PDA)- but only did the setups thru Ozi !!

As you said and then go back to the GPS and find the com port there and mate them up, I'll try that.

If you can find the DEVICE MANAGER

Right mouse button on disk icon on desktop -> manage -> device manager shows the COMM ports

But give a google ago
