Well 2008 arrived everyone in anticipation of our 3 month trip away........then it all turned to crap
1. Tore the Achilles tendon and fractured a bone in the right foot on crutches for 4 months...I don't care we're still going , just fit a cruise control
2. Starter battery died for no apparent reason.....I don't care we're still going, just buy a new battery
3. The starter motor up and dies as
well....I don't care we're still going, just get a recon starter
4. Put all new rubber on the Cruiser, staked the back right in the first week............ I don't care we're still going, just get another tyre
5. Rains out of the blue whilst the van is open, wets all the bedding.........I don't care we're still going, just take 3 days to dry everything out
6. Checking under the bonnet to make sure everything is okay, the diesel injector pump is leaking..... I don't care we're still going just get a recon up from
Perth and fitted.
7. Fuel prices have gone stupid..... I don't care we're still going, just pay and keep travelling
8. All the weather info we have says 25-35 km/h headwinds as we depart.....I don't care we're still going, just buy more fuel to compensate
9.The kids have come down with the flu.....I do care this time, but we're still going, just dose them up and away we go.
Surely its all finished, then the gods shined on me 2 bottles of rum for $50, YES, you've got to be happy with that!!
So come rain, hail and storm Saturday morning we are heading for
Cape York, back through N.T. and the Kimberelys for 3 glorious months travelling, we hope to see you out there
