Heading to the
Grampians in a week and was wondering if someone had any info on a quiet spot, maybe with some
water and not to many people. I have an off road van and am self contained. i have been told the north side has some good
places.
any comments would help.
cheers shane.

Haven't spent enough time there. One day I'll be back.
Plenty of great spots. Smiths Mill was good. Try and get up to
Boroka Lookout leading up to sunset.
There was still plenty of closures due to fire when we were there. Should be great now.
Northern
Grampians is probably the better of the two.
Others will have better insight.
Enjoy
Paul

Shane we stayed, for about 2 weeks, at Mountain Dam Campground, Rocklands Reservoir, [not much
water but there is not much
water anywhere in VIC ] Its listed in Camps 4 site 704. plenty of fire wood, really clean bio-
toilet, no paper, and nothing else except SERENITY.

Boreang
camp in the middle is also a good quiet
camp with
toilet and
tank water, also its close to Mac Kenzies falls. A walk though Wonderland is
well worth it. Goat track off Syphon road will take you up onto the western side range then turn onto Victoria range road is agood drive but not suitable for van as steep in spots. Could leave van Strachans
camp which is at the southern end of Vic range road. EO has trip notes of the
grampians, check the map you should see the camps and tracks mentioned.
