Well western Queensland anyway.

After the unseasonal storm yesterday the westerlies started to blow here on the Sunshine Coast today so we know it is time for us to finish packing the van and head west.

We leave on Wednesday morning for Roma and then Thursday we should be at our first stop on a station about 85kms north towards Blackall from Morven. Three weeks, or there about, and we head 170kms west to caretake another station for three weeks and to round out the trip we will then have three weeks on a place between Yuleba and Surat. Back home by end of August

DHA and I are Drought Assist. Volunteers and spend time providing help for those who need a hand. We just do what needs to be done and sometimes that just means having a chat over a quiet stubbie. Help with the stock, if they have any left, or just the general maintenence jobs. Nothing too difficult but so far we have been rewarded with some wonderful experiences and some lifelong friendships.

The only real problem we have is that we have a rather large house property in the Sunshine Coast hinterland (Nambour) and we know it will take a month to tidy up the place when we return. It's on the market but the number of buyers in our price range is limited so we wait for Mr Rudd to work wonders on the economy.

May not be able to follow the Forum after Tuesday evening but will be thinking of you all whatever you are doing.

Haven't got time now. I'm retired.

Hi Kevin, Really respect what your doing, hope to be able to do something similar when we retire. I grew up in Barcaldine, so always feel for my friends in the bush.

Cheers Bruce.
