Hi, Has anyone had experience with fitting an extra long range tank to a 2007 Nissan Patrol?
I will be in Perth next month and have heard there is a crowd in Cannning Vale that do one. Any experiences appreciated.

Thanks for the replies. Have not spoken to the mob in Jandakot yet.
The other's wanted well over a grand ,fitted , to replace the original with a 140 L tank and do away with the reserve ... a gain of 20 L ! Hardly ! !

Hi GeeTee,
I had my 05 Patrol fitted with a long range tank by K& N out at Canningvale (a couple of years ago less than $1000).

They fitted a 140 L without removing the sub tank. The LR is made out of heavy guage steel with the usual baffles, and Glen told me that the the strength in the tank will withstand putting a jack under it to jack up the vehicle without any stress on the tank.
the 140L gives me about 137 achievable which in total I carry 170L.
Since then I have also added gas to my Patrol. On a recent trip, one stretch I did 690 Ks and took 63 litres in diesel and 19 litres in gas. I haven't done the sums on that, most of the driving was on goldfields tracks.
Putting the LR tank youn won't regret
