Footy, Ruthie the GG is in for a great time in the next couple of weeks. Wednesday, she gets to meet Brian and the following week, she gets to really meet me. She'll be in 7th heaven LOLOL

Signman, the camel guys are going the other way - heading to Alice. I missed Macca this week because I was out at the racetrack. The Head Camel Man is gorgeous - Andrew Harper - looks like James Blundell. You might remember that he featured in Outback when he trekked across Australia - very nice photo of him nikkety having a tub in a bore drain. Yum yum. He loves me becuase I make him Chocolate Fudge Cake - I'd do ANYTHING for him.

Hey, a gorgeous (Younger) guy wanted to take me home (river) on Saturday night - and I couldn't get my wedding ring off my finger - blast - best offer I've had for ages, it was really exciting. And he wasn't even blind drunk!

Hi Annette, you will have a great time - the boys must be old enough now to do the driving bit (!?!). Weather's good.

The winds blew in all right! But didn't stop us from having a great time! We camped just 2 nights out on the desert, one where the Inside and Outside Track meet, not stictly desert but close! and then next at the top of the K1 where it meets the French Line..... stunning!! I could never have imagined the desert would look so starkly beautiful! Well worth the drive to get here!

By the way, Windy Wonthaggi, is living up to it's reputation... Horizontal rain, gale force winds, gusting up to 100 + km/h and as cold as,,,,, but you get that on the edge of Bass Straight

Made it up to the top of Big Red first go!!!! In fact on my second go, while the video was running, I didn't pay it enough respect and came to a halt not quite at the top, had to reverse back down and have another turn! But got there every time after that, including coming back into town off the QAA line late yesterday with our camping gear etc loaded up, went straight to the top!

You're 100% right Bucky....tyre pressures and ENOUGH, not tooooo much momentum.
