You trot this same old line out week after week.

It is getting boring. You are beginning to wear out your welcome.

And get your facts right, it was Rugby League, not Football LOL.

Maybe for most things but this SOR thing is huge.

I'm from Vic and was brought up on Aussie Rules. I also lived in FNQ from 87 to 95 and was frankly astonished at the following and interest in SOR. It's an institution. Everyone from the Hairdresser to the Florist is into it.

Frankly I find the game of Rugby League quite boring, however even I got caught up in it. It is more about the contest than the game itself.

Jim.

C'mon, lighten up Al.

Us "Southerners" don't give a tinker's toss, but we realise State of Origin Rugby League is WAR between the Blues and the Maroons.

And it is a related topic. Some people will be discussing the merits of the series win/loss at the Gathering, after they travel there in their 4BY's, I'll bet.

Bill.

And by the way we were Robbed.
Tell us not to talk about stuff as members of a group who enjoy having a laugh with each other, when your not a member yourself.
Sorry buddy, that would be like going to the CWA and telling them not to talk about cakes/scones and such things that interest them.
Fair go, that's a bit rich.

Did I mention that we were robbed?

And by the number of replies, I'm having a stab in the dark here,

Lawn Bowls seems a very popular topic amongst $wdrivers, caravaners, campers & travelers in general. I wonder if it is because they are last years standings. Mmm.

Don't get me wrong, I really don't have anything against Lawn Bowls or Bowlers.
I'm not Lawn Bowls prejudice or discriminate against those that play, watch or talk about Lawn Bowls. No matter what their gender, age, or hair colour. Each to there own.

To some up your Honor,
Get over it. sit down and have a great big cup of Harden the ******.

And if you didn't like League, we've still got September and the footy finals to come.
Go the Swans.

I have nothing against football either just thought this was a 4b forum.

Do you think putting "go the swans" at the end of your post will make any difference to the out come of the game?

I think this is where you have let your self down.
"just thought this was a 4b forum."
It's not just a 4B site, it a community.

People from all walks of life come here to chat, ask, and comment on about all sorts of things. From communications to what camper trailer would suit them, to the bad driving habits of our drivers, it's endless
It's a community of people that have different ideas and a love of travel in common. Some of the members here have become good mates(some would also disagree) and have know each other for a long time.

No it will not make a difference to the out come of the game, but you See by putting "Go the Swans" i'm sure someone will give me a ribbing about who I follow. It's called Banter.

Lighten up and enjoy your weekend. It's Friday. ;-)

Dear Al
If you took the time to look at the home page on this site you would see a section headed NEWS & SPORT. In there you will find numerous references to the game you obviously detest. I think that is fair indication that the creators of the site recognise the interests of the community at large and are prepared to cater for them. If you dont like it exercise your democratic right and go elsewhere.

Al its usually only when the origin is on. I think if you do a search there would be no other mention of footy otherwise. Myself I love watching the origin matches and as said above if you dont like it scroll down to the next thread. No one is making you read it. Its about the blokes and woman who get on here wether they are members or not having a dig at each other but all in good fun. MMMMM makes me wonder what you would have to say if you were sitting around the camp fire and some one bought the subject of footy up ?? Not every one loves hearing about alot of other stuff that goes on around the place but hey, its a free country and we can all express our views. Go the blues for next year. Regards steve M

I have only two requests in this regard: title the thread properly (Sport, Football, Aussie Rules - whatever) and _don't_ hijack other threads to rabbit on about it. The two protagonists who had a go at one of my threads a couple of weeks ago went all girley on me when challenged. Just keep to your own ground people and we'll all be happy bunnies.

I believe the headings for the "offending" posts were fairly and clearly marked so ihere's atip for the other sloooow people who may frequent the site. It would be a good idea if you see a post entitled 'Footy" or Football and you find it offensive, don't open it.
Not hard is it?
Live and Let Live geez these are the only 3 games in the year that get this much attention and it must be important to some of our Members because look at the fun we had digging at each other.
