When I was a visitor, I came looking for details about Bendethera, and one of the first pages I found had an options to download someone's gps tracklog - it cost some credits, but it was an option.

Now that I'm a member, I'm darned if I can find anything like that.
I can't even find much more than the interactive map.
I'm going mad, because all my searching is now just going round and round in circles, and not finding a downloadable tracklog anywhere.
Could someone who knows this site a bit better please help me find it, because it seems to be nowhere to be found now, yet as a visitor, it was the first or second page I found.

Thanks in advance.

Actually, no it isn't in the treks page.
That's where I expected it to be, or at least a link to it for there.
But it's under plotswap or some such thing, which you have to find by a specific search, it's not linked from the treks page - as much as that would probably be a good place to put a link to the plotswaps.

If you look at the post times, the general thank you to everyone, was posted outside the follow up area so that it was relevant to all, within seconds of the reply to Louie.

Ever seen Crocodile Dundee ?
That was the way it was meant to come across, That's not a knife, THIS is a knife. Email and posts online are notorious for not transmitting the person's intentions. If HE was fazed by it, I'd apologise and explain the intention that had meant to be conveyed. However Louie doesn't seem to be too fazed by it, only you. It sounds to me like you just like to be argumentative. No wonder the general population hate 4wders - they've probably met you.

I think I've still got some ozi plt files for Bendethera if thats any use to you. I've got the loop from Moruya, up the Deau to Dry Ck, along Merricubene to Bendethera Mountain and then back down to Moruya on the tourist track.

Could transfer them to google earth if you haven't got ozi.

Thanks for the offer John, but it's ok.
I signed up last Friday as we were going to be leaving the next day, but since membership took a few days, I worked around it by transferring the co-ordinates of the major turnoffs into the gps manually by hovering the mouse over the map, and noting the co-ordinates that way.
It was enough for us to find our way there and back. Fortunately the parts of the track that I didn't mark, NPWS have signposted, so we managed to get there and back ok.

I got a very messy tracklog on the Garmin Vista going there (partly because I'd planned to go straight onto Minuma Range off of the Krawaree (snowball ?) Rd, and found that trail is now gated, and had to backtrack back up to Middle Mountain Track to enter that way - which incidentally is the way the person who recorded the plotswap mentioned above, had used (I knew I should have stuck to his route).

However, on the direct return trip I recorded a fairly clean log all the way back from Bendethera to Qbn McDonalds (even Maccas coffee tastes good after 3 days out camping).
It was that tracklog I was mostly after, a nice clean one to follow from Canberra to Bendethera via Captain's Flat, Krawaree/snowball Road, Middle Mountain Road, Minuma Range FT, etc.

So now I have a reasonable one myself. Though my friend's vehicle had some issues with the thermo-electric fan conversion he'd done, so with all the getting out and doing trackside repairs, there were some times when the GPS unit ended up face down, so may have lost signal for small periods of time while we were stopped, but shouldn't have effected the accuracy of the log.

So thanks again for the offer, but I've now got what I needed.
Mind you, I make the same offer, if anyone would like a Garmin Vista Tracklog of Bendethera to Qbn Maccas, that they can play in the reverse direction if they want to go TO Bendethera, I'm also happy to send it to anyone who'd like it. The route certainly seemed the most direct way to get there from Canberra.
