Despite always getting a pasting over my rushed trips, and being accused of not having permits, I have rejoined as I have three trips coming up in the next few months and need ExplorOz to help me get psyched up.

Trip one: seven days, Alice, Yuendumu, Kintore, Sandy Blight Junction Track, Docker River, Kata Tjuta/Uluru, KC, Haasts Bluff, West Macs, Alice. To show some novices a bit of the bush. Permits all approved.

Trip two: seven days, Mt Isa, gulf country loop, Mt Isa. No permits needed. To visit Bush Heritagehttp://www.bushheritage.org.au/ and AACo properties.

Trip three: fourteen days: itinerary not firm yet but Kimberley, Balgo, Lake Mackay, Permits not yet sought.

I am wearing my flame proof jacket so just go for it.

I've been to the art centre there before and the stuff there is pretty amazing. The settlement itself has ne attraction for me but it is a waypoint on the track south toward Lake Mackay described by Willem a few weeks ago.

Bob. Go for it - If thats the way you like it fine with me. I was mostly that way by myself. The Wife has slowed me down, have to stop for all tea and meal breaks now, oh and toilet stops :-). I am getting used to that though and it is just as much fun. Safe travels and dont forget to call in for your landings just in case there is someone else on the runway. Cheers Tony

Welcome back, Bob, come in from the cold!

If I remember correctly you used to post some pretty good photos, so will be expecting more of the same later on.

What AACo places are you going to?

Hooroo,
Bob.

Bob
Lawn Hill, Gregory Downs, Canobie, Austral Downs
I am not sure exactly, though. I am not organising the trip.
Bush Heritage are acquiring some properties straddling the border and we will visit them too.

Thanks Bob.

Not name dropping, but know Guy F.............. pretty well, & to a lesser extent, Doug H......... They are, & I was, on the board of Desert Channels Qld together.

They are certainly getting a tidy portfolio of properties together now.

We lived at Gregory Downs about 20 years ago, for 2 years. Never got to see Lawn Hill, during that time.

Enjoy the trip,

Bob.
