Hi everyone,
Last week we purchased a 15ft Supreme Getaway at Pickles Auction, travelled to
Sydney to pick it up(live on the North Coast of NSW) transferred the STUFF from the Outback Jayco and am off to Levuka for a few days with our son who is on R&R after returnig from Iraq he wants to play with his 4x4. Anyine had issues with the fridges in the Getaway as the exhaust panels dont seem to be in the right position, if we keep it we will put in a 12 volt fan.
So will either have an Outback Jayco with bunks for sale or the Supreme getaway depends whic one the better half wants to keep. I was hoping we could get rid of a caravan and the Kimberely Kamper and just keep this one but I dont think he thinks that is a good idea. We will see who wins

Hi Barb,
Congrats on the new van. Good friend of ours has one and is very happy with it. However, your suspicions regarding the fridge vent are correct in that the upper vent is basically level with the top of the fridge, rather than above it as in most other vans. He also had to fit a fan to ensure adequate ventilation on warm to hot days.
Mind you, the traditional 3 way often doesn't perform that
well at the best of times and many of the members in our 4WD club have switched to solar panels and a compressor fridge for peace of mind in the hot weather.
Cheers
Gerry

Thanks Balko,
Hope too, I think hubby is just a bit concerned because if we get rid of the Jayco that means he is getting older as it has doble bunks and his daughter is leaving for uni next year(she took a year off to work) and we wont have any excuses to take a big leap of faith and go on the road to work and travel and that is a bit scary
Thanks for the best wishes

My brother has an off rosad eagle. He has purchased a small solar powered fan to help in the overheating of his fridge. Sems to work
well.
