I spend a bit of time in Brisbane these days for work, and it will get worse in the next few months. I have promised to take my wife accross next time and have been recommeded that Mt Tamborine is a great place to take her for a weekend.

I have tried google searches but i either i am impatient or i not searching properly but i cant any accomodation. I can find links but i want to see details, pictres etc.

Can any one recomend some where on Mt Tamborine, preferably Chalet Style, with a view, and not ridiculously expensive.

Forget staying at mt tamborine . Stay at the mouses house at springbrook . Purling brook falls and best of all lookout are great . You can drive to the natural arch . On the way home you can drive to canungra and up thru tamborine and look around there .

If commuting up and down Tambo, be sure to factor in the fog at this time of the year. If just relaxing up there, it's a great spot.
I'd go up from the M1 rather than the Canungra rd or from the Nerang end. More traffic but not quite as hairy or slippery in the wet. Take it easy going up and down that mountain.

Alan,

Make sure you take your winter woolies. I was up there two weeks ago visiting my old Nanna and it was as cold as a Mother In Law's kiss.

That's coming from a Melbournite LOL.

Jim.
