Birdsville - Now, one day too far away. Bugga!

Stuff happens, and now we can't head off until 2 days later than planned. We were planning to be at the Birdsville Cup, now even flat-out we couldn't get there until the day after the cup.
Ah well, I guess last year a few thousand turned up and the race didn't happen, so can't grizzle (too much). V disapointing. At least the French Line will be a little quieter, and we won't be queuing for the toilets.
We'll be looking for company across the desert, I imagine there'll still be a few straglers around for a couple of days after the Cup.
Have a bet for me if you're there ..I'll have a red for you around the campire on the way up.
