Coming from Vic originally, this type of money was unheard of for "just a job", Pilbara Clean Machines looking for an employee to operate a pressure cleaner, to clean Mining gear and such, $50 an hour 40 hr week, no experience required, sign of the times over hear, thats pretty good money in my book.

Excellent money for basically a job for a blow in.
But living costs there are probably sky high...probably wouldn't have much left after living there for a week :(

After paying rent, there wouldn't be that much left over!

What is wrong with a swag? in the bush?????? My idea of dreamtime..... I so wished I was not commited here in Sydney..... Would be there in a flash...... Have heard a machine operator gets good dollars over there. Would be a hell of a lot easier over there than what it is here.......

would you be able to live in a van?
Now is the only time you own
Decide now what you will,
Place faith not in tomorrow
For the clock may then be still

Accomodation is definately the problem up here, old man pays $150 a week for a permanent spot at the park, allright this time of the year but a bit hot in summer, need good aircon, still though, 3 hours work to pay a week rent isnt too bad, makes our $132 a month look pretty good for a 3 bedroom brick.

Cheers

All,
Resumes anyone?

I'm about to "officially" branch into the field of writing professional resumes. Been doing a bit on the side for a while, but now that so many of my fellow workers are defecting to the mining industry (and who could blame them!), I've decided to start writing them part time - as time permits.

No franchises here, this will be my gig.

Details will follow in the near future - if anyone is interested. :-]

Cheers, Matt

Its stories like that that have people thinking all you need to do is rock up to WA and be on big bucks but its not the case anymore.
everyman and hi dog as well as the dogs pups is curently trying to get in with the mining companys. The only way toget n these days is to have aot of experience ven just to drive a truck (have a llook at the adds the all state no trainees 2 yrs experience minimum)
or you need to know someone - high up.

My missus was driving agi trucks in pt Headland and Karratha for $19 ph and she looke arond ut most of the pays were about $25 per hour flat rate no accom.
She then went to drive agis in an underground mine fo $22 flat while traniing going up the $26 after training

so beware the big money stories they usually have more to tell.
