G'day everyone
Just a quick note to let everyone know that there are a swag of Citreon 2cv's wandering around the outback of Western Australia.
I had the opportunity to talk with a few of the diehards driving their little French machines to
places most four wheel drivers would look at twice before trying.
The vehicles number 57 all up and leave in groups of ten at varying intervals so as not to hold the highway traffic up to much.
The Raid autralia group have had a rest day in
Newman at one of the local caravan parks. Repairs and general maintenance mostly, but some folk to time to do the Whaleback
mine tour.
Look out for the little machines as they head up into the Kimberly region.
I'm told there are 4wd versions, with two motors !! but I didn't get to see one.
Check their web site out, it's quite interesting.
I would insert some pic's but it just will not up load ??

G'day again.
I hope the images that I've managed top up load are not to large for the system to handle.
The Raid Australia team are today heading for
Nullagine and then on towards Skull Springs, they will then cross the
Oakover River visit
Carawine Gorge and on to
Marble Bar.
I beleive their finishing point is Kunnanurra, some of the 120 so people actively ingaged in the Raid are from Europe, France, Belgium, England and Switzerland so I guess it is a mamoth adventure for them as the Raid is held every four years throughout the world.
Regards: Joe
