Image Could Not Be FoundThank you to all those who have posted here before about your loses. I've sat and cried over the stories and was thankful it wasnt me.

But it is my turn now. Jake died peacefully in his sleep yesterday morning in Southern Cross.

He started his travels as a six week old, driving from Exmouth to Perth. He was born in June 1995. He loved the car so much that he often went and slept in there when he could.

He was a beautiful, peace loving Kelpie, Staffy and Irish Wolfhound cross who left an indelible mark on many many people.

Do not feel compelled to post your condolensces, I've already got enough tears flowing for all of us.

Rest in Peace big fella.

Cheers

Wayne

Hi Wayne sorry to hear you have lost your pal. Unfortunately it happens but still hard when it does. I posted on here earlier this year about my wife and I losing our rottie (10 years old) and the replys were great also a poem some one posted was absolutely brilliant. Bought a few tears to my eyes and the wife was sobbing but was so nice. Even though we both got upset reading the poem it was still nice to know that there are people out there that care, and we appreciated it. Cant remember who posted it but myabe they will post again for you. We still have another one who is 11 years old and getting on, I dread the day. All the best to you and your family and RIP Jake, your owner will always think of you. Regards Steve M

Yes Wayne, it is a tough time. We lost both our dogs (Jackson a Foxie and Prince a Border Collie) a couple of months apart last year. He haven't been able to bring ourselves to get another yet.
The great thing with a good dog is the unconditional love and affection.
No matter how bad things seem, your dog is always able to cheer you up - even lets you believe he understands your moods and feelings. What a wonderful animal.

I think I understand your loss and hope things get better for you.

There are no words that can make it easier Wayne.

Just be thankful you had him for the time you had.

The memories will be there for a very long time.......

It's been a while now but I still miss my big mate...

God it hurts when you loose your mate, Ours died a couple of years ago and we couldn't bear to get another ( I still get lumpy thinking about her) but one day last year, a half starved stray wandered into the yard and we adopted him.
Loves the fourby, going bush and just sitting on your knee, so miss him for the fun he gave but get another cause we shouldn't be without our mates.

G'day Wayne ,,
Know how you feel ,, we lost our little Cav 2 Sundays ago ,, he went everywhere with us ,, was one of the kids ,, the house hasn't got anywhere near normal yet , it doesn't help when the 2 1/2 year old grand daughter keeps asking where is Cody ,, kinda puts a lump in the throat , but after 12 1/2 years , we knew we didn't have long ,, but more time would've been good !!

Just can't get use to him not being at our side !!

All the best , Neil ..Image Could Not Be Found
